The source of truth
for your team's AI coding standards.

What braid does

braid is the single source of truth for AI coding standards. Write your team's rules, skills, sub-agents, and workflows in one place, then run braid install to compile them as native config for every AI coding tool your team uses.

One standard, every format. Cursor gets .cursor/rules/. Claude Code gets .claude/rules/. Copilot gets copilot-instructions.md. Your team writes it once and every engineer stays in sync.

Why braid exists

AI coding agents work better with context — coding standards, architecture patterns, project conventions. But managing that context across tools and teams is fragmented. Every tool wants its own config file. Standards get scattered across repos, maintained in three different formats, and drift out of sync.

braid gives your team a shared library and a CLI that compiles one canonical standard into every format. Update a rule in braid and every engineer gets it on their next install. Switch tools and your standards come with you. Add a teammate and they inherit the same context from day one.

How it works

  1. Write your standards

Create coding rules, reusable skills, multi-step workflows, and specialist sub-agent personas in braid's editor. Import existing prompts from GitHub or start from templates.

  2. Install to your tools

Run braid install to write your standards as native files to Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, and 30+ other tools.

  3. Standards apply automatically

Every conversation starts with your rules loaded. Skills surface on demand when the agent needs them. Workflows guide multi-step tasks. Update once and every tool gets the change.

One source of truth. Every tool.
